Remember when I was !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! about going to the 24 Hours of Daytona? I do. Those were good times. Unfortunately, that's not going to happen. Over the weekend, my cousin's wife, who has been suffering from colon cancer for the past three years, suffered a complication from her 9,000th surgery and will have to go back in for another surgery on Thursday.

To be honest, I was expecting this. When you have a loved one who is suffering from stage 3 cancer, you can't really make any plans because you don't really know what's going to happen tomorrow, let alone a month from now or even a week from now. He told me that he exchanged the tickets for 2015 tickets, but honestly, I'd never go to another race again if that would help her get better.

I know exactly how that is, minus the 24h of Daytona part. My feels go out to you. A race, exciting as it is, seems so insignificant compared to cancer.
